David Dillon has worked as an independent contractor in Litchfield County, Connecticut for over 15 years.
He designs, renovates, and builds custom homes.
Unlike many contractors, David does most of the work himself, and specializes in adding finishing touches like wainscoting, coffered ceilings, and ornamental ironwork.
Just for fun, David decided to build his own custom truck camper on a vintage chassis.
I think you’ll see why there’s high demand for his work.
The build features:
- inlaid wood exterior
- custom curved metal rear
- outdoor kitchen that pulls out of a lower storage compartment
- propone refrigerator
- vintage truck chassis
I want to show you a few pictures of his ‘Big Woodie’ camper below.
The kitchen pulls out of the bottom of the camper and makes outdoor entertaining a breeze.
Neat idea to mount a custom cabinet on the interior of the door.
Easy access to the kitchen.
Leather seats and old fishing reels on the walls. Reminds me of something Ernest Hemingway would love.
Custom woodwork by David.
Recessed lighting and speakers accent the beautiful paneled ceiling.
David made the exterior just as beautiful as the interior.
Curved backend with Big Woodie stenciling.
Awesome shot of this unique custom camper.
