Tongue & Groove builds, rents, and sells custom-made structures from their offices in Bend, Oregon.
Tongue & Groove’s two founders, Kit Blackwelder and Jesse Russell founded the company with their first tiny house model, the Hiatus. It’s this tiny house I want to show you today.
Hiatus Tiny House
The two describe their first tiny house model as one that,
…captures the rustic Oregon wilderness with an exterior finish of rough-sawn blue pine, milled right here in Bend, Oregon.
Rough-sawn blue pine forms a rustic exterior to the Hiatus.
Bleached birch plywood gives the interior a more homey feel.
Custom cabinets by local company Havern create a useful and stylish kitchen.
A Dickinson P9000 direct draft propane heater keeps the space nice and toasty.
French hardwood floors create contrast to the smooth and light wood paneling.
While not seen in these photos, the house comes equipped with a Separett 9200 composting toilet.
The house is available for $55,000 according to their website.
