291 square feet sounds more like a larger motorhome than the size of a modern urban apartment. Just think about that size for a second: only thirty feet by ten feet. Yikes!
One way to get the most out of such a small space is through modular design: using the entire floorspace (or as much as possible anyways) for a given task at a certain time.
Architect Brad Swartz designed a veritable wall of hidden shelves to store everything from a television to a wardrobe.
